Blue Cloud Mural on a Ceiling (14' x 18') Located in a bedroom of a little girls room in Naples, Florida. This one is in blue tones as she requested, but a similar ceiling can be done in various shades of tans, violets and peach tones to give a much more dramatic effect. |

In a master bedroom tray ceiling in Punta Gorda, Florida. This couple that hired me to do several art murals in their home and were fun to work for. They were in Television PR and she told me a story of how she got to meet Mark Lindsay of the group Paul Revere and the Raiders. She found a way to invite him to come and see them when he was in town and he answered her back and told her he would. She absolutely adored him as a young woman when he was popular and could not believe he was coming to their house to visit prior to his evening concert. After he was there for a while he was walking in her back yard and tripped and hurt his ankle. He stayed through the pain, they propped up his foot and he was so gracious to visit with her and her friends, signed autographs, chatted with everyone and never let them know he was in a lot of pain. Later that evening she and her husband went to go to his concert in Orlando and it was announced on stage that the show would be a little delayed for Mark had broken his ankle and was in the hospital and would be there shortly to perform. They, of course were the only ones in the auditorium who knew what had happened and were mortified that he hurt himself at their house. He eventually came on stage and gave a great performance. I hear the greatest stories when I am painting. |

Cloud murals are so varied. Red clouds, purple clouds, orange clouds and yes, even white make for a certain mood and feeling in this type of mural. Ceiling murals with clouds can vary from the typical blue sky to a golden sky that is much more interesting as seen in these examples of cloud murals. Try to think of something different, for believe me, there are no two skies alike. |

I got to see a cloud cap form on the mountain there one afternoon that encompassed the top and is caused when humid air is forced to flow all over the mountain. It is a really beautiful and eerie site. This is where the film, The Shining was made, in the Cloud Cap Inn there. To be there and see the Inn where Jack Nicholson was running around, and where the son rode his big wheel through the hallways was just great! It is a beautiful inn that still has the massive hand carved, original furniture, stair way railings and wooden posts, that kept people busy during the great depression and employed for a long time. The area was very blessed to have this work available then and kept many from going hungry. |
