Key Florida Mural(4 ft. by 3 ft.)
Florida murals range from very vibrant to subdued and old Florida style. There are a couple murals shown below that reflect the great diversity of Floridian murals. This mural was done for the Taste of Bonita in November of
2007. It was auctioned off and the monies went to children's charities in the area. I got to have a tasting experience like no other. There are four different restaurants represented in the painting. Flatbreads
and a Ceviche Fish martini from the Tarpon Bay restaurant in the Hyatt in Bonita Springs, seared tuna from Roy’s in the Promenade shops in Bonita, key lime pie
from Randy’s restaurant in Naples, and finally stuffed mushrooms from Fitzgerald’s Pub in Bonita Springs, Florida. Each main chef prepared these meals for me to sample so I could know, firsthand, how to paint them. What a delicious experience! |
Tropical Plant Florida Mural (20 ft. by 10 ft.)
|
This is in a dining room in a home in Naples, Florida. My clients had me design this retaining wall because they just bought the home and someone put wallpaper on the bottom half of the wall and then decided to put a different drywall texture above that! So, when they hired someone to remove the wallpaper for me to start, we
noticed what had been done. To
avoid the ‘line’ problem, I painted a retaining concrete wall and then used a waterline
for the horizon of the ocean and then painted the plants. It turned out great for you cannot tell the difference now in the plaster. I did this about 6 years ago and she just called me to give me a new client and said they still have this Florida mural in their Naples home and love what I painted for them.

Simple Palm Florida Mural (14 ft. by 8 ft.)
|
I kept the pale yellow walls of the original paint and then applied some palms and grasses to accentuate the feeling in this open dining area in a home in Cape Coral, Florida. It changes the feel of the room and takes the walls from feeling empty to full of life. |
Dual Palms Sunset Florida Mural (14 ft. by 10 ft.)
|
This Florida mural started out with faux painting in the background, then, I actually used the same faux technique on the two palms on each side of the arched doorway. The real tile on the floor was painted up on the wall into the archway to make it look like you could walk right out onto the sand and continue onto the water
of the beach. This Florida mural is in Naples, Florida.
They can be of water, salt or fresh, very lush with different types of plants, or simple with one palm tree and serene water. You should always try to tell your artist what type of Florida mural you are looking for. They can then create the mood you are looking for. We are all here in Florida, as a visitor or a long time resident and want the same things such as the sun, water,
beaches, boating, waterside dining, laughter, warmth, serenity, a cold drink and sand between our toes. If you want to bring all these senses into your home or onto you lanai, hire me to paint the perfect Florida mural for you and experience it for yourself! |
