Hawaiian Murals and Art

Outdoor Hawaiian Mural (16 ft. by 8 ft.)
This Hawaiian mural (also called the Sandwich Islands) is on a pool lanai in Cape Coral, Florida. Julie and
Bob hired me to paint a Hawaiian scene that would bring back memories for them from their trips to the islands. I painted the brick pavers up on the wall to make it look like you could walk into
the scenes. The
water is tranquil and the Hawaiian mural islands in the distance seem to just grow out of the water. |
Hawaiian Vineyard by the Ocean (4' x 4')
|
Hawaii has vineyards, oh yes they do. There are not too many, but they are there just the same. I love this little mural for the reflection of the Hawaiian
mountains on the sea and the placement of some grapes on the window ledge. I decided at the last minute to place a blue dish with some scattered red grapes on it and spilling out onto the ledge,
looking quite playful.

Blue Figs Overlooking the Ocean Hawaiian Mural Painting
(4 ft by 3 ft)
|
I seem to paint a lot of windows looking out onto a scene we would all like to step in to. I want all of you to try to actually travel and go to these types of places. It is so good to go there, experience the outdoors than to just always think and dream about it. Make your dreams come true! |
Blue Hyacinth Macaws Hawaiian Mural Painting (5 ft. by 4 ft. canvas painting for sale)
|
I tell everyone that as you look at this painting, this is what the inside of my head looks like! I think to paint this way with using color as a broad palette and to be creative with going out of the box, makes for a good conversation piece.

Diamond Head Crater
|
This is a photo of me hiking up the 1 ¾ mile trail up to the top of Diamond
Head. It was originally named laeahi by the ancient Hawaiians. The name meant Brow of the Tuna, and if you look at the Silhouette of the crater from Waikiki, you can see the resemblance. The current name was given to the crater by British sailors
in the 1800’s, for when they first saw the crater at a great distance, the calcite crystals in the lava Rock appeared to glimmer in the sunlight. The
trail was a long one with two sets of stairs, one with 99 steps and the other, 76 steps along with a 225 ft. unlit tunnel. It is worth the trip up to have the breathtaking views of Waikiki beach and the Pacific Ocean.

Zip Lining From The Top of Mount Haleakala on Maui
|
These are two photos, one of me preparing to go down the first zip line with Skyline
Eco Adventures and the other side after I
landed. It
was much cooler on the top of the mountain than below where we first geared up and was whisked away in a large ATV for the drive up. Our guides made this a fun experience and I highly recommend it
if you ever have a chance to go. I absolutely love Hawaiian murals. I have traveled there a few times in the last year and loved it each and every time. To see whales jump out of the
water, spouting and spy hopping, and crashing down on the surface of the water, is a sight and sound I will never forget. I have driven the road to Hana on Maui with its lush, green, plant life, cascading
waterfalls and peeking at the ocean around every bend. The Big Island has a shoreline of beautiful volcanic cliffs and very large waves, points of historical interest and great snorkeling. I
started painting green mountains way before I ever traveled there for the first time and was amazed at just how true I had been to the Hawaiian scenery, without ever seeing them in person. It
must be part of my soul. Oahu offers the look of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head, military monuments and seaports. |
