Lanai Murals and Art

Red Orchid Lanai Mural (8’ x 10’)
This outdoor Tuscan mural looks so beautiful next to the pool area at this home in Naples, Florida. I had perfect weather to paint this one and some of the neighbors kept stopping by to see what I was doing and loved watching the process. I think the sky is so colorful and the greens in the wine vineyards are a great contrast. I painted the brick pavers onto the wall to give the
trompe l’ oeil effect of looking like you could walk right into the scene. Tuscan murals are relaxing to look at.

I really like this lanai mural in particular. It is on an enclosed patio lanai area. I painted the background to resemble a Hawaiian scene for my clients who love to go there. You can see the green mountains rising out of the sea with palms on the beach. I even painted the brick pavers up on the wall to
give the feeling you could just walk right into the scene. |
Lanai Murals and Art

Here you can see a panoramic style of a lanai mural. My clients Bill and Velma, in The Forest subdivision in Fort Myers, chose to bring the outside
of their yard into the lanai area. This effect above their sliding glass doors, puts artwork in a place you might not ordinarily think of. It spans about 50 ft. wide and 2 feet high. I
painted a pale blue sky with full, white clouds and then painted each palm frond individually. I had a great experience with this one for their back yard had a very mature growth of a palm ‘wall’ and
all I had to do was just look over my shoulder, pick out a frond I liked and paint it to the correct perspective. I don’t always get to do this and it made the painting very realistic and believable
as they cascade over the painted ledge. It really opens up the lanai.
