Modern Murals and Art

Red Triangle Modern Art Mural (12’ X 6’)
Metallic and acrylic paints make up this very different modern mural for my clients Anthony and Sue in Naples, Florida. Even though this is not something I paint very often, it sure is fun! Each time someone asks me to paint a modern mural like this, it takes my mind into the direction of mathematics. For if you really look at it, the painting has
to be measured out, calculated and each geometric form has to be placed just right. |
Orchids and a Great Blue Heron Modern Art Mural (12’ X 6’)
|
This is the first modern art mural I ever painted. The pinks are quite vivid and bold. The blue heron is anchoring the end of the mural and the placement of the two orchids on each side soften the look. This one is in Naples, Florida. |
Golden Lines
|
This modern art mural painting was done for Dr. and Mrs. Johnson who live in Fiddlesticks gated community in Fort Myers, FL. They already had the canvas and I needed to create something for them that went well with their very modern art home. Full of fantastic artwork that each piece stood out
on their own, this one needed to also for it is 8 ft. high by 6 ft. wide. Full of gold and silver leafing and metallic paints, it turned out very interesting indeed. |
Light Wines
|
This modern art mural done in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, is titled: Light Wines. It is, acrylic on canvas, with silver leafing and metallic background. I used traffic lights to represent the grapes and electrical cord to simulate those ‘strings’ that come down from grapes and show it exposed with copper and silver
leaf representing the hot and cold wires. I think it turned out well. I painted this one for myself, but it is for sale for 2,000. It measures 3 feet by 4 feet.
