Henry the Peacock Mural Painting (30" x 48")
This peacock mural was painted for a woman who lives in Yorkshire, England half of the year and the other half she lives in Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. She has a lovely home in England with this stone wall in the back. Henry is the neighbor's peacock who comes to visit her almost every day that she is there. I painted this for her to display in
her home in Vancouver and I just wanted to bring a little of England to her so she wouldn't miss it so much. |
Elevator Peacock Mural (11' x 4')
|
This painting was done on canvas in my studio and then taken to the home of Dr. and Mrs. Nair to be placed in their elevator. I just love it. The colors and metallic paints to highlight everything are so vivid. Once it was placed in the elevator, Mrs. Nair had me paint the ceiling in the same blue with clouds just like the sky.
Makes for one of those few times that you probably don't want to come out of the elevator any time soon!

Peacock photos taken in Hawaii
|
The photos above, of this great peacock were taken on the big Island in Hawaii. I was on a trip there in May of 2008 and as we drove around a corner off of a little back road, there he was! He was fighting with a goose and his feathers were up in full regalia trying to intimidate the other bird. I got a chance to get real close and
take a photo of just his feathers. What a surprise sighting I did not expect. Who says back roads are not fun to drive down. You just never know what is right around the bend.
