Schools Out

After a heavy rain in Naples, Florida, I happened to be driving by this water retention ditch and saw these boys having a great time just playing as boys do, with trying to push this old grass mower through the water.  One boy on for the ride and the other boys being older with more power, pushing him and having a blast!  I could not help but take this photo for it reminded me that in this day of IPODs and Game Boy, that good old fun is still prevalent. This was taken on a day the kids had a day off of school.

I love black and white photography and this is one of the beginning phases of my Venice painting under the Italian tab on the right of this site.  It shows an interesting view of one of my studio areas and how an artist has a working space.

I took a driving trip to Toronto Canada.  I noticed this sign of complete significance to the 9/11 attacks.  Notice the sign directing you to their memorial and then also directions to the ‘Down to Earth’ pottery place of business just under that.  It was noticeable to me immediately the irony of these two things being on the same sign for the towers came down to earth on that day.
